We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Communication at Christ the King Catholic Primary School Bass Hill is highly valued. Parents are able to meet with staff to discuss their child’s learning needs on a regular basis.
Parents receive updates through fortnightly newsletters, compass messages, parent information sessions, curriculum notes and school reports. At Christ the King parents are given the opportunity to attend parent teacher interviews twice a year. Students attend these interviews and set their learning goals in collaboration with their parents and teachers.
Parents and the community are welcomed to attend all functions throughout the year. Invitations are extended for weekly assemblies, open classrooms, learning symposium, classroom prayer sessions, Liturgies and Masses.
